Collection: NATALY MAIER

Nataly Maier (b. 1957, Munich, Germany) lives and works between Munich and Milan. Through her study of the masters, she has developed a rich and refined palette, making color the central theme of her work. Her research, which began in the 1980s, highlights the evocative power of color, capable of conveying a full and natural energy. The uniqueness of her work lies in her use of egg tempera, one of the oldest and most effective techniques for preparing pigments. In the past, egg yolk was used as a natural binder due to its thickening properties; Nataly Maier today renews its use, applying multiple layers of paint without ever removing the underlying layer, until achieving a dense, deep, and vibrant pictorial surface.
