The Mirror series can be considered an integration of photography and painting. The images are created and constructed from printed or painted transparencies, then superimposed. These are inverted, effectively becoming negatives that, in the darkroom, expose the photographic paper by contact. The result of this elaborate process is a work of art, a photograph oriented towards the dimension of painting. The surface is therefore not a static element, but a dynamic place, where the photographed subjects undergo a metamorphosis and are transformed.
